I am trying to find out more Information about my 4th great grandfather William GRIMES. I found a 1790 census (not the original) that shows him in Wake county and a tax record from 1755 showing him in Orange County. It is said that he came into the US from Ireland. It is also said he was born in Orange county NC. I know he and his family moved to Maury county Tn in 1811 and he died there in 1816. Can you offer any help or put me on the correct path to get answers to my question? Thank You.
