I am trying to find out more about my ancestor and his wife below.
The last name is spelled in many forms as you likely already know. I am interested in his parents, grandparents and any brothers he had.
There are family rumors of him leaving North Carolina to Indiana over the issue of slavery. Furthermore, there have been rumors his brothers became Confederate soldiers.
However, my search as turned up quite dry. Any information you can provide or resources you can point to would be great.
