I am researching Thomas LYNCH (1725-1781) (son of Jonas JONACH LYNCH & Elizabeth BOWMAN) buried at Mt Zion Christian Church in Orange County, NC per Find-a-Grave. His gravestone says he was in the (Rev War) NC Militia. However i dont see him listed in Carolana website as one. As there were lots of Thomas LYNCHS I need to parse him out from say, his 3rd cousin the SC Signer of the Declaration of Independence. Any source showing him in the NC militia. Know who put that on his gravestone, which appears fairly new. DAR chapters close by that may have ? Thank you for any leads.
