"We are trying to locate the property of Nicholas TRIP(P)(E).

TRIPP moved to Orange County about 1755 with his family and a stepson (my 5X great grandfather, Timothy COOD/CUDE).  He purchased 100 acres from William MURRARY near the Haw River in 1758.  He was made Overseer of the Road in the ""Room of David MORGAN"" in 1765.  Nicholas died about 1790 and the property was sold.  The deeds from this period appear to be lost.

We have information that suggests the property might be near NC Hwy 54 SE of Graham, NC.  Other information suggests NC Hwy 15 between Pittsboro and Chapel Hill.

It would help if we could pinpoint the location of the road in the ""Room of David MORGAN"" circa 1765.

Thanks, Jay Cude"
